We discovered Gauss - a complex, nation-state sponsored cyber-espionage toolkit designed to steal online banking account credentials, as well as passwords, cookies, Social Networks accounts information and other sensitive data of targeted
organizations and individuals. Gauss module was capable of stealing data from the clients of several Lebanese banks including Bank of Beirut, EBLF, BlomBank, ByblosBank, FransaBank and Credit Libanais. It also targets users of Citibank and PayPal. The majority of Gauss victims were located in Lebanon, but we are talking tens of thousands targeted victims all over the world, including US, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and other countries.
